We will leave Cusco (3350m/10991f) at approximately 5:30am. First we will go to the Cachora town (2850m/9350f) and then continue towards the roadhead known as Capuliyoc to find our horses and mules that will carry all the camping equipment during the expedition from then on we will continue our journey (2800m/9186f) . where it offers a beautiful view of the Padrayoc mountain, the deep canyon and the Apurímac river called “El Rio Hablador”. We will descend into the canyon called Chiquisca (1930m/6332f), where we will spend the night.
After breakfast we will descend to Rosalina Beach (1550m/5085f). From there we will continue to Marampata (2850m/9350f), where we will have a beautiful view of the archaeological complex of Choquequirao (3033m/9951f). Our camp will be located approximately 25 minutes from Choquequirao.
At dawn, we will visit the archaeological site of Choquequirao "cradle of gold". Until now, only 30% of this archaeological center has been restored. We will also discover the history and the recent excavations of Choquequirao that has ancestral secrets among the wild nature.
After breakfast, we will take our belongings to descend the deepest part of the Apurímac canyon called San Ignacio at 1500m / 4921f and have lunch. After that, we will ascend to our campsite in the beautiful gardens of Carmen (2000m / 6562f).
